What do Lesley Gore ("It's My Party", "You Don't Own Me") and the musicals HAIR and DAMES AT SEA have in common? Each are a groovy and fab representation of the music of their era AND will be a part of Bay Street Theatre's Summer Gala Benefit Bash - Sailing Back to the 60's - on Saturday, July 18th on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor. DIG IT!

The Summer Gala has earned a reputation as "Best of the Best - Event of the Year" (Dan's Papers, 2007 and 2008) and this year's event promises to be no exception as Lesley Gore (60's hit maker of "It's My Party") makes a special guest appearance at this not-to-be-missed evening! Festivities include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a sit-down dinner catered by Sterling Affair, dancing to the sounds of The Denice Given Band and fabulous entertainment taking you on a magical mystery tour of the 60's with song and dance. Guests will be tempted with a wide array of items at the Silent and Live "Fantasy" Auction including a Walk-On in "Dames at Sea", a cruise on a fabulous yacht, artwork, jewelry, sporting tickets; sports and celebrity memorabilia, a children's birthday party, house seats from some of Broadway's hottest shows and much more.

Funds raised from the Gala will support Bay Street's many programs including; the Summer Mainstage productions, the Comedy Club, KidStreet programming for young audiences, and the Picture Show Classic Film Series as well as Educational Outreach Initiatives including Literature Live, Summer College Internships, Theatre Camps for kids and the Young Playwrights Program.
