Tony Award winner Barbara Cook will perform songs from, discuss, and sign her newest CD 'Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder,' Thursday, November 13th at 4pm at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle, 1972 Broadway at 66th Street.

Ms. Cook will be accompanied by her music director Lee Musiker.  Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder, which was released this week by DRG Records, is the singer's 14th release by the label.  The recording features performances of songs by such theatre mainstays as Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers & Hart and Leonard Bernstein, as well as songs by Ray Charles, John Bucchino and Peter Allen.

Barbara Cook's silvery soprano, purity of tone and warm presence have delighted audiences around the world for more than 50 years. A Broadway star during the American Musical's heyday, she launched a second career as a concert and recording artist in 1975, soaring ever since from one professional peak to another. Last year she celebrated her 80th birthday with three sold-out concerts at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic and in June made her debut with London's English National Ballet as the vocalist for the company's new program of works set to the music of George Gershwin
