Baisley Pond Park Hosts Southern Queens Gospel Fest, 9/22

Baisley Pond Park will host the Southern Queens Gospel Festival, a free festival of soulful sounds, featuring performances by local choirs and musicians, on Saturday, September 22, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Gospel Fest is part of a larger initiative to increase programming in parks in Southern Queens. In addition to the live music, there will be activities for children, face painting, arts & crafts, music provided by WLIB 1190 and information from local community organizations. Gospel Fest is collaboration between NYC Parks and Queens College, and is sponsored by Parks, Queens College, and Council Member Ruben Wills.

The park is located at Rockaway Boulevard between Sutphin and Baisley Boulevard, Queens.
