Backroom Sessions Mia Celebrates 365 Days Of Art In The 305

By: Nov. 28, 2017

Backroom Sessions Mia Celebrates 365 Days Of Art In The 305 Image Backroom Sessions Mia (BRS) is pleased to announce their first annual celebration of the arts. Founder's of BRS, Rudy Flores and Angelina Rivero, offer an intimate experience for artists and art lovers in the Kendall and Westchester area with artist showcases every other month. The local talent company will kick off their second year at Lincoln's Beard Brewing Co. on December 26, 2017 at 7p.m.

South Florida is home to major cultural arts organizations and performing arts groups, suburban Miami is no exception. Backroom Sessions, arts and culture supporters, allow for audiences to network and collaborate with other aspiring artists at showcase volumes and pop-ups in the Kendall and Westchester areas.

"We're at a time and place where it is crucial for the country to understand how diverse we are as Americans," said Angelina Rivero. "When I was growing up, all my friends were just like me: the children of immigrant parents, who more often than not, are from two different countries. We have more ethnicities and speak more languages than anywhere else in the states, and it shows in our art and music."

Designed and driven by locals showcasing visual & performing talent, BRS caters to all genres and mediums. Their effort to promote artistry in their own neighborhoods while expanding the parameters of where locals can find their fix for the arts has lead to a cultural wave. Committed to their mission of "Putting the bottom of the map on the map," the first annual showcase will highlight 12 local artists in a variety of mediums, local bands, a vendor market, visual artists & food trucks. To honor the community, the 12th artist confirmed will be the winner of a social media campaign that invites their followers to nominate & vote the last performer onto the bill.
