In the Land of Make Believe

We moved into our Jingletown this week! A warehouse space in Downtown LA with open wood beams, cement floors, graffiti and a harshness that will perfectly serve all of our imperfect characters. We did a promo shoot there this weekend and I got a sneak peak of a couple shots of myself and Matt (Magnusson, our Will) - they are f*cking awesome. They are Heather and Will epitomized; if ours are that special, I cannot wait to see how everyone else's turns out. We also started choreography and blocking, which you can imagine is exciting. Finally putting these songs on their feet after the last couple weeks of pounding all of our millions of parts into our heads. The songs are sounding really tight and strong and now to be breathing life into them, it's truly so fun and exciting.

A few of our very, very good men: Payson Lewis, James Byous and Matt Magnusson

Matt and I got to do some scene work with Topher this week... we just scratched the surface (we'll be diving into it more this upcoming week), but I couldn't be more grateful it's Matt I get tell this story with. As an actor (and singer... and dancer...and having great head of hair...) he is so giving and open, as a person and friend we laugh constantly and he's one of the kindest people I've ever met. You know what else I love about every person in this cast? No egos. Everyone knows their value as a person and what they bring to the show with nothing else behind it. There's nothing better than to be able to work along side crazy talented people who don't take themselves too seriously but take their work seriously.

Heather and Will... Or Ross & Rachel of Jingletown as we like to call them.

Everything is coming together so quickly! Topher Rhys (our director) and our entire creative team have done a brilliant job of keeping everything organized and tidy so we get the most amount of work done in the time we have. Oh and have I told you that this cast is brilliant, yet? No? Okay, this cast is brilliant... and it's obvious everyone has been doing their homework. Every person has one, single, goal in mind - to make this show f*cking epic... and I think it will be so much more than that.

Till next time!
