MINDY RAF is a humor writer, comedy performer and musician. She has written for VH1 and CollegeHumor.com, among others. She is the author of the young adult novel The Symptoms of My Insanity. Kirkus Reviews called Mindy "a female Woody Allen for the teenage set."

His short film, Record/Play premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and won Best Short Film at HBO's Urbanworld, and at Fantastic Fest in Austin, and the Audience Award at NYC Shorts.

Here's How It Works: Drop your name in the hat for a chance to tell (not read) a 5-MINUTE story. No themes. No scores. Just warm, thoughtful, constructive feedback from a rotating panel of seasoned judges who may or may not be liquored up at any given time during the show. Judges confer at the end of the night to crown the "Best in Show." Winner gets fabulous prizes. (Probably just verbal accolades and a bag of chocolates from Duane Reade.)

THE HOW I LEARNED SERIES features writers, storytellers, comedians and other raconteurs holding forth on rotating "how I learned" themes. Featured in Time Out New York, The L Magazine, The Rumpus, The New York Times and more, HOW I LEARNED happens monthly, and sometimes more than that, which basically means you'll have the best night of your life on those nights, repeatedly. THE HOW I LEARNED SERIES' side project, BEST IN SHOW, is a story slam that takes place every other month with seasoned judges offering friendly, booze-fueled feedback.

BLAISE ALLYSEN KEARSLEY is a writer, storyteller, sometime photographer, the creator/producer/host of HOW I LEARNED and the creator/producer of BEST IN SHOW. She's appeared on The Rejection Show, The Soundtrack Series, Steamboat, Real Characters, Story Collider, Ask Me, Cringe, Mortified, Literary Death Match and more. She's written for Vice, The Nervous Breakdown and some other places a long time ago perhaps not worth mentioning by name. One time, she was awarded a month-long writing residency in Vermont where she got electrocuted and maybe almost killed a horse. Visit her at your own risk at bazima.com. That's buzz-eye-muh to you.
