Arlo Guthrie To Headline 19th Annual WINTER'S EVE At Lincoln Square Summer is coming to a close, and soon it will be the most wonderful time of the year! On Monday, November 26, 2018, Arlo Guthrie will return for the fourth time to headline the 19th Annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square, hosted by the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District. Winter's Eve is New York's largest outdoor holiday festival featuring music, dancing, food, culture and holiday cheer for all ages. The unique neighborhood celebration stretches almost 10 blocks along Broadway, draws upwards of 20,000 people, and is free for all.

This evening of merry-making turns New York City into a small town for one night and is the perfect way for New Yorkers and tourists alike to immerse themselves in holiday cheer. The highly-anticipated event features a lively lineup of legendary performers, up-and-coming musicians, dancers, street entertainment, kid-friendly activities and much more to get in the holiday spirit and light up the Upper West Side.

The festivities will kick-off with a special performance by famed folk icon Arlo Guthrie in Dante Park on Broadway and 63rd Street at 5:30PM with a traditional lighting of Lincoln Square's Upper West Side holiday tree. For the fifth consecutive year, the holiday tree will be from New York State's Domes Tree Farm, located in Bliss, New York.

· ENTERTAINMENT: Lincoln Square's sidewalks will be full of cheer with free musical performances, processional groups, multicultural dance troupes, ice sculpting, Jazz at Lincoln Center, youth choruses, and more, making for a festive fun-filled evening along the streets and sidewalks of this dynamic Upper West Side neighborhood. Some of the returning entertainment will include: Processional Arts Workshop, YAZ Band, Okamoto Ice Sculpting, and more!

· FOODIES & HOLIDAY CHEER: Attendees should bring their appetites! Over 30 of Lincoln Square's finest restaurants and eateries including The Smith, Boulud Sud and Bar Boulud, Sapphire Indian Cuisine, Café Fiorello, P.J. Clarke's, and many other local favorites, will offer sweet and savory food tastings of their signature dishes at nominal cost ($1 to $4) at three separate outdoor locations from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Plus, a number of local stores and neighborhood institutions will host performances, activities and holiday cheer throughout the evening to enchant all festival goers.

The celebration begins with the lighting of the Lincoln Square Holiday Tree in Dante Park at Broadway & 63rd Street and continues along Broadway from Time Warner Center to 68th Street.
