Ann E. Wrecksick & The Odyssey of the Bulimic Orphans, a new musical by Bare's Scott Allgauer and Damon Intrabartolo, will play a limited engagement of 18 performances at the Cavern Club Theatre at Casita del Campo in Los Angeles beginning on July 22nd.

The show, as implied in the title, is an irreverent, R-rated tale that "tells the story of orphans who are really fat…their troubles are solved, however, when one of the orphans stumbles across an article about bulimia—and how one can lose weight without exercising or sacrifice eating their favorite foods," according to the show's website.

Ann E. Wrecksick will be directed by Kristin Hanggi and choreographed by Kelly Devine. Jesse Vargas has been assigned the vocal arrangements and music direction, while Marco Morante will handle the costume design and Betsy Thurmond the sets. The show is produced by Intrabartolo, Danny Feldman and God Help! Productions, and Whitney Allen, Allgauer (in the title role), Eric Anderson, Will Collyer, Mandy Kaplan and Christine Lakin, Patti Wortham, Jeffrey Christopher Todd, Ryan Raftery, Tom Leherty and Kara Maguire are featured in the cast. Allgauer has co-written the book with Intrabartolo, who penned the music and lyrics.

The show will play Fridays at 9 PM and Saturdays at 7 PM and 10 PM. The Casita del Campo is located at 1920 Hyperion Avenue in Silverlake.
