Andrew Samonsky, Zachary James and More Set for National Music Theater Conference Readings

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center has announced cast members for the final two shows of the 2012 National Music Theater Conference. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Paulette Haupt, the Conference will continue through July 13 and, for a second consecutive year, will develop four new musicals.

In announcing this year's actors, Ms. Haupt remarks, "Casts at the National Music Theater Conference play a vital role in the development of new work. The professionalism with which they bring characters to life enables our resident authors and composers to objectively learn what yet remains to be written to convey the intended storylines. We are grateful for the superb talent that joins us this and every summer."

A Good Man: book and lyrics by Philip S. Goodman; music by Ray Leslee; with public staged readings on June 30, July 1, 3, and 6 will feature Terence Archie, Gilbert L. Bailey II, Ta'rea Campbell, Tina Fabrique, Antwuan Holley, Anastasia McClesky, Jacob Ming-Trent, Andrew Samonsky, Don Lee Sparks, and Dennis Stowe.

The ToyMaker: book, lyrics, and music by Bryan Putnam; with public staged readings on July 7, 8, 11, and 13 will feature, Joan Barber, Joe Cassidy, Merwin Goldsmith, Olli Haaskivi, Zachary James, Lucia Roderique, Alison Walla, Lynn Winterstellar, and Betsy Wolfe.
