American Theatre Wing Announces 2005 Calendar of Tony Awards Events

The 2004-2005 Tony® Awards season is upon us and the Broadway community is eagerly awaiting the announcement of this year's Tony nominees. The American Theatre Wing's 59th Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards will be hosted for the third year in a row by Tony winner Hugh Jackman and will air live on CBS on Sunday, June 5th from 8:00 – 11:00 PM (ET/PT time delay). The Tony Awards are presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing.

Wednesday, May 4th
OFFICIAL CUT-OFF FOR 2004-2005 TONY ELIGIBILITY

Tuesday, May 10th
2005 TONY AWARD NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCEMENT live from the Marriott Marquis's Broadway Lounge. A complete list of the 2005 nominees will be available at www.TonyAwards.com on May 10th.

Wednesday, May 11th
The annual MEET THE NOMINEES PRESS RECEPTION to be held at The View restaurant on the 48th Floor of the Marriott Marquis.

Wednesday, May 18th
2005 TONY NOMINEE CLASS PHOTO is a photo of this year's Nominees gathered in Times Square.

Thursday, May 19th
The TONY NOMINEES LUNCHEON is an exclusive event, where nominees come together to celebrate each others achievements and receive their nomination certificates. The event, which takes place at the Rainbow Room, is for nominees only and will be closed to the media.

Sunday, June 5th
THE 59th ANNUAL TONY AWARDS at Radio City Music Hall take place at Radio City Music Hall. Red carpet arrivals will begin at 6:00 PM. The three-hour ceremony will be broadcast live (ET/PT time delay) on the CBS Television Network from 8:00 – 11:00 PM. The Tony Gala will follow at the Marriott Marquis.
