Alive Worldwide Productions, a new company devoted to projects that create opportunities for human connection through creativity, is thrilled to announce the world premiere of THE CITY.

THE CITY is an immersive performance experience following two New Yorkers through a day that will change the course of their lives. The performance features realistic and abstract scenes as well as interactive audience engagement to explore how New Yorkers connect and disconnect in the city. Enhanced by film, dance, original music, poetry, beat-box, photography, and shadow/light design, the audience will explore the ways humans impact each other or fail to do so. The performance investigates three primary themes: 1) social and relational dy- namics, 2) technology trends that hinder and en- hance connectivity, and 3) the innate human longing for belonging. THE CITY ebbs and flows between dramatic, playful, thought-provoking, and celebra- tory experiences. It encourages a diverse audience to recognize parts of themselves while igniting a frisky and fresh tryst with one another and the performers.

"People come to New York to feel alive and connect- ed," said co-creator, Catherine Hanna, "But some- how, with all the magnetic energy and opportunities for personal success, the city is notorious for being lonely and disconnected." THE CITY was developed because its creators feel that there are greater possibilities to be connected with each other in New York, and that artists have to be intentional and creative to inspire audiences toward connectivity.

After a successful workshop of THE CITY in De- cember 2013, produced by MadART Creative and Ensemble Moto Perpetuo, Alive Worldwide is proud to unite compassion-driven and talented art- ists, including Drama Desk Award winning theater artist, songwriter, and beatboxer, Chesney Snow, and world-renowned singer/songwriter Morley. Also collaborating with Alive Worldwide for this project are Juilliard-trained composers and mu- sicians, LINKED Dance Company, Double Image Shadow Puppetry Company, Filmmaker Helen Gebregiorgis, and many others. "The City focuses on arguably the most important topic of our modern time," says Jamie Roach, co-creator. "We designed it to be an incredibly entertaining and memorable experience."

THE CITY runs approximately 2 hours and will be performed at Theater Lab, 357 W. 36th Street, Third Floor (A/C/E to 34th St) on June 26, 27, and 28 at 8pm and June 29 at 2pm. Tickets are only $20. Visit www.aliveworldwide.org for more information and visit theaterlabnyc.com to purchase tickets.
