Paul Iacono will present a reading of his new play Prince/Elizabeth on Friday, September 9th. The reading will be held at The Caravan Stylist Studio, located at 36 West 38th Street (5th Floor), and will take place from 8:00PM to 10:00PM.

Prince/Elizabeth, directed by Ben Rimalower (Joy), tells the story of Rufus Doddswell. A teen idol with a partying problem, Rufus is issued a mandatory drug test after failing to show to a first rehearsal. Him and his group of downtown, misfit friends are forced to answer the question: "What takes precedence, art or self?" The play tells a modern story about young artists, their passions and their impulsiveness.

The cast includes Alison Fraser (The Secret Garden, Gypsy), Wesley Taylor (The Addams Family, Rock of Ages), Sofia Black D'Elia (MTV's "Skins"), Alex Andrejko ("Jeffery & Cole Casserole"), Alex Shaffer (WIN WIN), Spencer Rose Oberman ("Sesame Street") and Paul as the role of Rufus.

Paul recently starred as the title character in MTV's highest-rated scripted show "The Hard Times of R.J. Berger," which quickly became a cult-hit for that network. It was written by Seth Grahame-Smith and produced and directed by David Katzenberg. Prior to that Paul played the role of "Neil" in the feature remake of FAME. Along with being a thespian, Paul is also a writer and director.
