Oscar-winning FROZEN songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are reportedly in development on their next project -- a musical titled UP THERE. Deadline writes that Alex Timbers, who is currently helming ROCKY on Broadway, will direct the show, which is scheduled to run at La Jolla Playhouse in California next year.

There's no official word on the production being Broadway-bound, but we can only hope!

Timbers described UP THERE as "a boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy-gets-back-girl romance with an overlay of Cirque".

Aside from ROCKY, Timbers is currently working on the London launch of HERE LIES LOVE in October at the National Theatre. He just won a 2014 Lucille Lortel Award for the remounted New York production, currently running at The Public Theater. Timbers also directed Broadway's BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, THE PEE-WEE HERMAN SHOW, and PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, which is now off touring the country.

Robert Lopez is a Drama Desk and Tony Award Winner for The Book of Mormon and Drama Desk nominee for Avenue Q, and Kristen Anderson-Lopez is a Drama Desk nominee for In Transit. Robert Lopez is also the youngest EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) recipient at age 39: E: Best Music Direction and Composition - "The Wonder Pets," 2008 (Daytime Emmy); G: Best Musical Theater Album - The Book of Mormon, 2012; O: Best Original Song - "Let it Go" from Frozen, 2014; T: Best Original Score - Avenue Q, 2004.
