The workshop performance of Unconventionally Intimate on Tuesday May 30th has sold out. The team has added a second workshop on Thursday, June 1st at 7:30 pm also at the Music Hall at the Dramatist Guild Fund. Documenting her real life experiences navigating the complex and delightfully awkward world of contemporary dating, Unconventionally Intimate is Alexandra LaPlante's humorous, fascinating and sexy look at what is possible... if you throw traditional expectations out the window.

"The first performance sold out in five days" said Director Brooke M. Haney. "And I was thrilled, but not shocked. I knew this was a mostly untold story that people are excited to experience. Adding a second night will be quite beneficial to the process as we can hear two different audience's responses, and that will go far to inform us of what in the writing still needs addressing. " "I'm so grateful to the Dramatist Guild Fund" said Playwright/Performer LaPlante. "As a new writer, their generosity in sharing the space with us has been instrumental in the growth of the piece. And, to get it twice is amazing."

Talk backs will follow both performances. Haney and Laplante hope to use the workshops to glean information about the script. They aim for a full production later this year.
