Adam Pascal Releases New Theatre Themed EP, THE NEW STANDARDS

A new EP from Adam Pascal!

Popular Broadway leading man and original RENT star Adam Pascal exclusively premiered a brand new recording of classic musical theatre mainstay "Not A Day Goes By" from Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG last week, only available on BroadwayWorld, and now the full EP featuring the track is now available to order on iTunes, titled THE NEW STANDARDS.

Pascal shares of the track, "I think its one of, if not the most, accessible of Sondheim's melodies. Every version I have heard is wonderful but I wanted to do a version that definitively sounds like me."

Pascal continues, "It's important for me to tackle traditional musical theatre standards that allow people to see me as capable of more than being, you know, 'the Broadway rock guy'."

Opening up about the release of several new recently recorded tracks featuring reworkings of many musical theatre classics and some rock songs, as well, Pascal relates, "These are all my versions of things - I'm putting my own spin on some classic songs from musicals and also some rock stuff, too. I'm doing stuff from RENT, stuff from WEST SIDE STORY, stuff by Sondheim - we're putting this all out and it's going to be sort of a constantly growing project where I am just going to keep adding songs to this growing compilation of material available online. We want to get the first four out there soon, so we are kicking it off with 'Not A Day Goes By', which is a song I love by Stephen Sondheim."
