New York's only fine art and craft fair featuring the work of theatre professionals Actorcrafts! will take place Saturday, November 17 from 10AM-6PM in the gymnasium of the Holy Cross School (332 W. 43rd Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues).

Broadway shows represented include The Color Purple, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King; with over 40 exhibitors displaying original jewelry, sculpture, paintings, photography, doggie tees, clothing, furniture, handmade cards, picture frames and much more!

Participating artists include Jennifer Barnhart (Avenue Q), Laura Schutter (Mary Poppins), Leslie Carrara, Abby Cadabby from "Sesame Street" and "Johnny and the Sprites," Kenita Miller (Xanadu), Ana Andricain (The Glorious Ones), Amanda Flynn (Wicked in LA), Alicia Edwards (Metropolitan Opera).

Produced by Josef Reiter, this event is made possible by the generous support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Admission is FREE!

The exhibiting artisans are a diverse group of theatre professionals made up of actors, singers, dancers, musicians, stage managers, and wardrobe personnel.  Not only do they act, sing, dance, play instruments, direct and choreograph, but in their spare time, they paint, photograph, sculpt, make clothing, purses and jewelry and the list goes on and on.  To learn more about this event and participating artists go to: www.actorcrafts.com

ActorCrafts started four years ago when Reiter was seeking an outlet for his own work, and came up with the idea for ActorCrafts.  He combined forces with many of his theatre colleagues, who create wonderful crafts and artwork, to establish an event that showcased their talents outside of the theatre.

This event is made possible by the generous support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. BC/EFA is the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fund raising and grant making organization.  BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American theater community to an urgent worldwide health crisis.  By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of this community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States.  Since it's founding in 1988, BC/EFA has distributed over $80 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV, or HIV-related illnesses.
