AMERICAN IDIOT Cast Set for Rock Band Challange, 9/23

As reported previously, the video game 'Green Day: Rock Band,' was released in June. Now, the cast of AMERCAN IDIOT will be participating in a Green Day: Rock Band competition at the Village Pourhouse (366 West 46th Street), on Thursday, September 23.  At the event, which is to be held at 10 pm, patrons will be able to challange the cast at the many Green Day tunes included in the game.

Players can play forty-seven songs as vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, or drummer Tre Cool. The game features songs from multiple Green Day Albums, including 'Dookie,' 'American Idiot,' 'Warning,' 'Nimrod,' 'Insomniac,' and '21st Century Breakdown.'  It also includes bonus images and videos and allows up to three players to sing in harmony.  The game's producers include Harmonix, MTV Games, Reprise/Warners Bros. Records. 

American Idiot follows the exhilarating journey of a new generation of young Americans as they struggle to find meaning in a post 9/11 world, borne along by Green Day's electrifying score. This high-octane show includes every song from the acclaimed album American Idiot, as well as several songs from the band's Grammy-nominated new release, 21st Century Breakdown.
