Sixty $26.50 Student Rush seats will be available for every production of A Moon for the Misbegotten, the upcoming Broadway show starring Eve Best and Kevin Spacey. The student ticket initiative continues the tradition started at the London's Old Vic, when the show set the record for the highest grossing show in the theater's history last year. A Moon for the Misbegotten will enjoy a limited, 84-performance run, starting March 29th at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th St), opening on April 9th and running through Sunday, June 10th.

In press notes, Old Vic artistic director Kevin Spacey commented, "Much has been written about the prohibitive cost of Broadway for young audiences.  This offer allows students to enjoy A Moon for the Misbegotten in a thrilling live production for about the cost of 2 movie tickets.  What better way to foster the next generation of play-goers?"

Known as acclaimed playwright Eugene O'Neill's only love story, A Moon for the Misbegotten is described in the press release as the story of "Josie Hogan (Best), a towering woman with a quick tongue and a ruined reputation who lives in a dilapidated Connecticut farmhouse with her conniving father, Phil (Meaney).  During one long moonlit night fueled by drink and lust, Josie's softer side is exposed through her feelings for Hogan's landlord Jim Tyrone (Spacey), and two implacable souls reveal to each other the grief, longing and unrequited love they've hidden from the world."

The student rush seats are available exclusively at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre Box Office, performance day, on a first come, first serve basis. Payment must be in cash, and there is a limit of two tickets per customer. The show runs Tuesday - Saturday evenings at 7pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm.   The box office opens at 10am Monday - Saturday and at noon on Sunday.
