A Class Act Offers Musical Theatre and Acting Workshops

A Class Act has announced two upcoming theatre workshops.

A Musical Theatre Master Class will be given by Nikole Vallins (Binder Casting and ACA Staff).  Vallins will work with students on song choices and scene work.  The Musical Theatre Master Class will be held on Sunday, July 29th from 11 AM-3 PM at Ripley-Grier Studios (520 8th Ave./16th Fl.).  Ages 7 to 13 may enroll, and the coast is $175.  Space is limited!

A TV Acting Workshop with Youth Talent Agent, Rachel Altman (Abrams Artists & ACA Staff) will be held at the Ripley-Grier Studios on Sunday, August 19th from 11 AM to 3 PM.  "Work on scenes from today's hottest TV Shows, such as 'Drake & Josh,' 'Hannah Montana,' 'That's So Raven,' 'Zoey 101' and more! Work with one of New York's most prestigious Agencies!," state press notes.  "Altman is a legit agent who represents young performers for Theatre, Film and TV!"  Ages 7-16 may enroll  The cost is $225 and space is limited.

"Seeing the need for quality acting, musical theatre, on-camera and dance workshops for children and teens, Jessica Rofé Cates (former Casting Director) and Marc Tumminelli (Actor/Director), started A Class Act NY in 2005, with their very successful weekend workshop series.  They brought their theatre programs to New York City public schools to serve as their after-school arts program. In 2006, A Class Act NY produced and directed Manhattan School for Children's spring production of Into the Woods Jr."
