Billy Crystal has added more stops to the upcoming tour of his smash one-man show 700 Sundays. The funnyman will now perform the show in Toronto, Boston and San Francisco, as well as in Chicago (November 8th-20th).

The tour will play its first limited engagement at Toronto's Canon Theatre from September 28th through October 9th before heading to Boston's The Opera House from October 18th through October 29th. After the Chicago run, 700 Sundays will be performed at San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre from November 29th through December 17th.

Written by Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel and is directed by Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff (The Who's Tommy), the show elicits both laughter and tears in its autobiographical story that "deals with (Crystal's) youth, growing up in the jazz world of Manhattan, his teenage years, and finally adulthood." The title refers to a "sadly precise measurement of time shared by an adoring father and a devoted son," according to a press release for Crystal's upcoming memoir of the same name. Crystal's father died when the former was 15 years old.

After extending its limited run, 700 Sundays closed on Sunday, June 12th. Produced by Janice Crystal, Larry Magid and Face Productions (who will do the same for the tour), 700 Sundays played 21 preview and 164 regular performances from its first performance on Friday, November 12, 2004 and official opening on Sunday, December 5, 2004. The show was developed at La Jolla Playhouse (where McAnuff is the artistic director).  David F. Weiner (scenic), David Lee Cuthbert (lighting), Michael Clark (projection) and Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound) comprise 700 Sunday's design team.

700 Sundays received a 2005 Tony Award Award for Best Special Theatrical Event, as well as a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance and a Drama League Distinguished Performance Award nomination. Crystal received the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Solo Performance.
