'39 Steps' Adds Events To Hitchcock Month

THE 39 STEPS, the winner of two Tony Awards, two Drama Desk Awards and the 2007 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, is proud to announce Hitchcock Month, a series of events throughout September honoring Alfred Hitchcock, the director of the legendary 1935 film on which the quick-change Broadway comedy is based.  THE 39 STEPS is in its ninth month delighting Broadway audiences and is playing at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street).

FIRST ANNUAL Alfred Hitchcock  LOOK-A-LIKE CONTEST(NEW)

Do you think that you look like Alfred Hitchcock?  If you don’t, do you know someone (a relative, co-worker, baby, pet) who looks like Alfred?  The Broadway company of Alfred Hitchcock’s THE 39 STEPS believes that Hitchcock lives in all of us.  In celebration of HITCHCOCK MONTH (September, 2008), Alfred Hitchcock’s THE 39 STEPS is holding a Look-A-Like contest.

So take a photo of you or someone you know who looks like Hitch and you can win a BIG PRIZE.  Remember, the photo need not be an exact likeness of our beloved Alfred, but convey his persona.

Four “finalists” shall be selected to appear for a LIVE VOTE where the audience of Alfred Hitchcock’s THE 39 STEPS at the Cort Theatre shall decide who is the best Look-A-Like!

 The finalists shall each win four tickets (for you and three guests) to attend Alfred Hitchcock’s THE 39 STEPS on Tuesday evening September 23.  At the conclusion of the performance, the four finalists will be invited to appear on stage and the audience will vote LIVE to select the grand prize winner of the FIRST ANNUAL Alfred Hitchcock  LOOK-A-LIKE CONTEST.  The winner shall be awarded a prize package of fabulous merchandise from THE 39 STEPS and the title of BEST Alfred Hitchcock LOOK-A-LIKE (value: priceless!).   All four finalists will also attend a special after-show cast party.

Cost to enter:  Nothing!  Absolutely Free!

Who Can Enter:  Males, females, kids, pets, anyone and any thing can enter the Look-A-Like contest, as long as they reside within the NYC area.

How to enter:  Send your “Alfred Hitchcock Look-A-Like” photo via email to alfred@hhcmarketing.com.  In the subject line, please write “Look-A-Like,” and in the body of the email please give us the name of the person/thing in the photo (if not you), your name, your phone number, and your mailing address.

How Do You Mock Hitchcock?
A Film Contest co-sponsored by the New York Film Academy

Create an original film short based on a Hitchcock film or scene and spin it into a satire. Look back at some of your favorite Hitchcock clips and make it funny. If you need some inspiration, click www.39StepsonBroadway.com to check out clips from the play. Submit your video entry on https://www.youtube.com/The39StepsOnBroadway anytime before September 20th. The top 10 videos will be on The 39 Steps website through September 30th and voted on by a panel of professional judges. Judging will be based on originality, creativity, and attention to rules and regulations. This contest is co-sponsored by the New York Film Academy.
