Nominations in 26 competitive categories for the American Theatre Wing's 65th Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards® were announced May 3, 2011 by Tony Award winning actor Matthew Broderick and Tony Award winning actress Anika Noni Rose, at the Tony Award Nominations Announcement sponsored by IBM. The nominees were selected by an independent committee of 22 theatre professionals appointed by the Tony Awards Administration Committee. The 2011 Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards are bestowed annually on theatre professionals for distinguished achievement. The Tony is one of the most coveted awards in the entertainment industry and the annual telecast is considered one of the most prestigious programs on television.

Peter Hylenski (The Scottsboro Boys)
Peter Hylenski: Grammy, Tony and Olivier award nominated. Selected Broadway: Shrek the Musical; Rock of Ages; Cry Baby; Lend Me A Tenor; The Times They Are a-Changin'; The Wedding Singer; Sweet Charity; Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me; Little Women; Brooklyn. Steve Canyon Kennedy (Catch Me If You Can)
Steve Canyon Kennedy was the production engineer on such Broadway shows as Cats, Starlight Express, Song & Dance, The Phantom of the Opera, Carrie and Aspects of Love. His Broadway sound design credits include Guys and Dolls, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Jersey Boys (Drama Desk Award), Billy Crystal's 700 Sundays, Hairspray, The Producers, Aida, Titanic, Big, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Carousel and The Who's Tommy (Drama Desk Award). Steve is married to actress Loni Ackerman and together they have two sons, Jack and George.

Brian Ronan (Anything Goes)
Brian Ronan: More than 20 Broadway shows including The Book of Mormon; American Idiot; Promises, Promises; Next to Normal (Tony nomination); Grease; Curtains; Spring Awakening; as well as Grey Gardens and The Pajama Game, which both earned Drama Desk nominations. Off-Broadway designs include Everyday Rapture, Saved, 10 Million Miles and Bug, for which he won Obie and Lucille Lortel awards. His career has spanned America, Europe and Asia and has allowed him to work with the most talented composers, directors, designers, actors, musicians and stagehands in the world, for which he is eternally grateful.
