It is there inside every one of us, the urge to get out, that feeling to break free, that need to tear off one's clothes and run down the street naked (well maybe not the last). But now, two young determined women are about to blow their respective popsicle stands and nothing and no one is going to stop them as Cyndi Freeman and Fiona Walsh demonstrate in their respective one-person shows INSIDE CHERRY PITZ and GREAT AMERICAN WHITE TEETH; a double bill of one-acts performed under the heading CHICKS WITH DREAMS, which begins an open-ended run at the Where Eagles Dare Theatre, located at 347 West 36th Street, beginning Tuesday, November 16th.

CHERRY PITZ has long wanted to be a famous drag queen like her father, but finds that avenue closed to her because she's a girl. Determined to make her mark in the world, regardless of the sexual prejudices that bar her way, and because she's been dumped by her teenage superhero boyfriend Johnny Angel, Cherry buys a one-way ticket on a Greyhound Bus out of her home town of Nowheresville USA and heads for the bright lights of Tinsletown to become a star. However Cherry quickly learns the road to Easy Street ain't listed with Rand McNally and the world doesn't always get turned on by your smile. Even when stardom appears to be just around the corner, Cherry must ask herself if the gold plated wonders offered by a center stage spotlight are really what she wants. INSIDE CHERRY PITZ is performed by two-time FringeNYCAward winner Cyndi Freeman

Don't talk to Fiona Walsh about bacon; she's had her fill of it, as she explains in GREAT AMERICAN WHITE TEETH. Hailing from Roscrea, Ireland (the home of Roscrea Bacon), Fiona, who's always been slightly different from the other children, dreams about having superpowers, being kidnapped by aliens and running away with Warren Beatty. Anything to get out of a community so tiny everybody knows what everybody else is doing, and where people hold grudges for decades. When Fiona finally finds her holy grail - America, the land of amber waves of grain, of swimming pools and movie stars, nightlife that just won't quit and some blessed anonymity, nothing in the word is going to stop her from getting to her own personal promised land - even a bit of stretching the truth here and there. But what will she do when she finds out that Studio 54 is closed??
