The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, the only televised awards show honoring performers in film and television, will announce nominees at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on Thursday, December 16. These nominees will be presented live on TNT and webcast live on tnt.tv and tbs.com.

Results will be sealed until they are opened onstage on Sunday, January 30, 2011, broadcast live from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center on TNT and TBS, at 6 p.m. MT, 7 p.m. CT and 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Recipients will receive the Screen Actors Guild Award - The Actor® - which symbolizes outstanding performances in motion pictures and primetime television. Of the top industry honors presented to performers, only the Screen Actors Guild Awards are selected entirely by actors' peers, making the awards ceremony particularly unique. Nominees include the distinctive ensemble awards and the SAG stunt ensemble honors, which are chosen by two separate film and television nominating panels. These panels, randomly selected each April, are comprised of 2,100 SAG members, spanning from coast to coast.
