1776: IN CONCERT to be Presented for Free at The Brickyard

The Renaissance Theatre, the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, and Downtown Mansfield Inc. join forces to present a one-night-only free event, 1776: In Concert, on June 20th at 7:30pm at The Brickyard in downtown Mansfield. Performers from Broadway and Hollywood, as well as artists and musicians from all over North Central Ohio, will be showcased in the Tony Award-winning musical that inspired Hamilton. Tickets are available free of charge, but must be reserved by contacting the Renaissance Box Office or online at rentickets.org.

About the Show:

Set in Philadelphia, in the days leading up to the American Revolution, the founding fathers come to life as they debate America's future and pen the Declaration of Independence. Jeff Richmond leads the cast as the fiery John Adams, along with Brian Stepanek as Thomas Jefferson, "The Tonight Show" co-host Steve Higgins as John Dickinson, and Broadway actor Marc Moritz as Benjamin Franklin. Rounding out the cast are Leah Gesouras as Abigail Adams, Samantha Woodill as Martha Jefferson, George Swarn as Rutledge, Dan Pack as Richard Henry Lee, Beau Roberts as Hopkins, Zakari Ramos as The Courier, Darius Darmody as The Leather Apron, Jacob Poiner as McNair, Nikki Stitak as Sherman, Mathew Korver as Thomson, Mindy Tishue as Livingston, Michael Miller as McKean, Lori Turner as Hall, Jacque Workman as Rodney, Peter Fey as Wilson, Joe Trolian as Witherspoon, Caroline Pletcher as Morris, Kate Ernsberger as Chase, and Marlene Kimble as Hewes. Maestro Octavio Más-Arocas will conduct the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, Michael Thomas will provide the stage direction, and Kelly Knowlton is the vocal director.

In addition to the performance, attendees can enjoy food trucks and a festive downtown atmosphere as Mansfield comes together to celebrate America 250 through the arts. As this event takes place outdoors at The Brickyard, guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or other portable seating for their comfort.

While admission is free, reservations are encouraged and tickets are available as Pay What You Can through the Renaissance Theatre Box Office at 419-522-2726 or online 24/7 at rentickets.org.
