13th Annual NY Burlesque Festival to Run 9/24-27

The New York Burlesque Festival is the largest and most acclaimed festival of its kind in the world, and has attracted sold-out crowds since it's premiere in 2003. This September marks the 13th year for this celebrated event, and producers, Thirsty Girl & Pontani Productions will once again, serve up 4 nights of glitter and glamour in Gotham, with over 120 eye-popping performances from international leading burlesque and variety entertainers at five of NYC's hottest nightclubs. Bringing together over 2,800 enthusiastic audience members who, in addition to enjoying tassels and tail feathers will be entertained by live music, international DJ's, variety and circus performers, burlesque, boylesque, and a shopping boutique where you can try on custom corsets, peruse pasties, hair ornaments, vintage dresses, lingerie and even partake in a pin-up make-over.
Thursday, September 24th tempt your appetite for pleasure at our Thursday night Teaser Party! Hosted by Shelly the Singing Siren Watson & Bastard Keith this night is sprinkled with performances by over a dozen national and international performers including Mr. Exotic World winner Russell Bruner (WA), Eva La Feva (Chicago), Gala Delicious (Detroit), Jonny Porkpie (NYC), foot stomping DJ Momotaro and much more . Friday, September 25th let the games begin with your host, Albert Cadabra and The Premiere Party at Williamsburg's hippest retreat, Brooklyn Bowl. This infamous party features over 20 burlesque beauties from the weekends' spectacle of stars including The Ruby Revue (Dallas), LuLu Liqueur (Australia), Rita Lynch (Italy) Sergei (japan) Mr. Gorgeous (NYC) and many more. Expect high energy and cutting edge burlesque at this legendary night with an always epic audience Last years crowd even including an enthusiastic Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame. DJ Fresh Prince of Darkness turns the evening into a late night dance party flanked by some of NYC's hottest go-go dancers.
Saturday, September 26th put on your top hat n' tails for the Saturday Spectacular at BB Kings on 42nd Street. This magical night is hosted by The World Famous BOB and showcases only the finest Burlesque performers from around the globe, including burlesque legend Judith Stein (Canada), Kitty Bang Bang (UK), Dirty Martini (NYC), Midnite Martini (CO), Angie Pontani (NYC) The Peek-A-Boo Revue (Philadelphia) and more! Plus enjoy live music with special guests, the Grammy winning Brian Newman Quintet! And stick around for our amazing dance crazed after-party in the adjacent Lucille's bar. with DJ Bill Coleman. This is truly a luscious night, not to be missed.
Sunday September 27th , join us for daytime Burlesque Bazaar and Showcase at The Tippler in Chelsea featuring a show hosted by Dr. Lucky with performances from some of NYC's favorite teasers plus enjoy The Burlesque Bazaar , filled with amazing vendors of vintage clothing, accessories and of course pasties! Plus a Q&A with burlesque legend Judith Stein, music from DJ Joe, a live pin-up photo shoot from 2pm - 6pm on Sunday!
Sunday, September 27th the festival goes out with one last pomp and circumstance at Manhattan's Highline Ballroom with The Golden Pastie Awards and Super Club Stage Show! Join notorious host Scotty the Blue Bunny & all the performers at this Oscar styled escapade, full of mischievous antics, live performances and an awards ceremony that both honors and pokes fun at the world's finest burlesque performers with a double D sized Golden Pastie for winners. Categories include "Positively perfect posterior" and "Most likely to win RuPaul's Drag Race". Expect stellar performances and an evening of hi jinx! And, don't miss the exclusive red carpet walk that kicks off the night!
