Cullman Hall of the Universe to the sounds of the biggest names in techno, electronica, hip-hop, and indie rock.
Guests can also enjoy a complimentary screening of one of the breathtaking Hayden Planetarium Space Shows. November's feature is The Search for Life: Are We Alone? narrated by Harrison Ford. Rainbow Arabia has been dubbed by The Quietus (UK) as "Fourth World Pop." Credited to avant-garde trumpeter/Eno collaborator Jon Hassell, Fourth World Pop refers to a style of music employing modern technological treatments and influenced by various cultures and eras. The duo's first EP, The Basta, inspired by the purchase of a Lebanese Casio that played microtonal scales and Arabic beats, blended bossa nova, electro-pop, goth/post-punk, and Middle Eastern music. This was followed shortly after by the release of Omar K 7 on Merok Records and, in 2009, their follow-up EP Kabukimono.
