The Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival is an intense summer institute featuring concerts, masterclasses, ensemble instruction, and career building workshops. Now in its second season, the festival is hosted by Imani Winds and housed at the Julliard School in New York City.This summer's festival offers two exciting programs: The Fellowship Program for woodwinds, horn players, and pianists who wish to immerse themselves in high caliber wind quintet/sextet performance, and the General Chamber Music Program that welcomes strings, winds, and pianists for intensive training within mixed ensembles. You may also audit the program, which requires no audition.Imani Winds will be joined by an impressive cast of guest artists, including:

More than North America's premier wind quintet, Imani Winds has established itself as one of the most successful chamber music ensembles in the United States. Since 1997, the Grammy nominated quintet has taken a unique path, carving out a distinct presence in the classical music world with its dynamic playing, culturally poignant programming, genre-blurring collaborations, and inspirational outreach programs. With two member composers and a deep commitment to commissioning new work, the group is enriching the traditional wind quintet repertoire while meaningfully bridging European, American, African and Latin American traditions.
