The University of Alaska Anchorage will present SINGIN' IN THE RAIN Friday, November 19 through Sunday, December 5, 2010.

Performances are Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm at the  UAA Mainstage Theatre.

You remember the plot. You love the characters. You know "the song." It's no less than the stage adaptation of one of the most celebrated and beloved films of all time. 1920s Hollywood is the setting for this zany, light-hearted romantic comedy about the early days of sound film, when many a movie studio found itself scrambling to salvage the career of its chipmunk-voiced silent picture star.

The performance is based on the MGM Film. (Original choreography by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen) The screenplay is by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and songs are by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed. Directed by Fran Lautenberger.

This event is part of UAA Department of Theatre & Dance's 2010-2011 season. For subscription information, please visit UAA Theatre & Dance or call (907) 786-1792.
