Share in language, life ways and traditions of more than 40 Zuni artists at "Journey to the Center Place," the 24th Annual Zuni Festival of Arts & Culture, Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Museum of Northern Arizona, 3101 N. Fort Valley Road in Flagstaff.

Ticket prices are $10 adults, $9 seniors (65+), $7 students (with ID), $6 American Indians (10+), and $6 youth (10-17). The festival is presented by the Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA) in partnership with the A:shiwi A:wan Museum and Heritage Center (AAMHC) in Zuni, N.M.

Patrons will enjoy two days of authentic food, artist demonstrations, musical performances by the Zuni Pueblo Band and traditional dancing by the Nawetsa Family Dancers. In addition, AAMHC film screenings and Heritage Insight talks by Zuni educators and scholars showcase the practices and beliefs of Zuni life including identity, emergence and migration beliefs, worldviews, values and current day issues on the Zuni Indian Reservation.

The intricate and distinctive talent of Zuni fine artists will be represented by potters, colored stone and silver jewelers, stone fetish carvers, wood Koko carvers, beaders and ceremonial sash weavers.

"We welcome our friends from Zuni Pueblo and the A:shiwi A:wan Museum and Heritage Center to Flagstaff to share with us their language, history, art and concepts of the world and the life in it," said MNA President and CEO Dr. Robert Breunig. "The Zuni remind us of their deep history and connections to the landscape of Northern Arizona and the Colorado Plateau, including their migrations through the Flagstaff area, and the continuing vitality and creativity of their culture. This festival is truly one of the highpoints of the year at the museum."
