"LOVE, LOSS and WHAT I WORE" Returns to Aux Dog Theatre Nob Hill for 9 Encore Performances!3011-3015 Monte Vista Blvd, NE / Albuquerque NM 87106. Opening: Friday, December 1st, 2017Closing: Sunday, December 17th, 2017.

The ever-popular and highly acclaimed "Love, Loss and What I Wore," adapted and written by Nora and Delia Ephron (based on the book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman), returns to Aux Dog Theatre by popular demand for three consecutive weekends to add to the festivities of the holiday season!

Kudos to Nora Ephron (deemed the best female screenwriter of all time for such cinematic hits as "When Harry Met Sally", "Sleepless in Seatte," "You've Got Mail" and "Julie and Julia") for this marvelous play co-written with her sister, Delia, also a prolific writer of books, plays and screenplays ("The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," "Hanging Up," "Bewitched" and "Michael").

The all new cast includes: Michelle Volpe Roe, Gloria Goodman, Michelle Varela, Julia Harris and Sophie Ellis-Young. Michelle Volpe Roe was just seen in Aux Dog's recent production of "After the Fall" and Michelle Varela was last seen in Aux Dog's Shakespeare 505 production of "Much Ado About Nothing" in April 2016.

"Love, Loss and What I Wore" is a humorous and heartfelt play of monologues and ensemble pieces about five women, the story revolving around their clothes and the touching memories triggered by them, covering such seminal subjects as mothers, buying bras, prom dresses, hating purses - and why New York women only wear black! The show is directed by Robin Lane whose credits include two Tony Awards as co-producer, with partner Stewart F. Lane, for "La Cage Aux Folles" and "Will Rogers' Follies". She is a NYC transplant and has lived and prospered here in Albuquerque for over 8 years.

Here's what the New York Times had to say about "Love, Loss and What I Wore:" Funny, compelling...Brought down the house...but [the play] is not a comedy: A story about black cowboy boots becomes a sad tale of being underappreciated in a relationship; a tale of two women shopping for their wedding outfits ends bittersweetly; and the recollection of a new bra is a quiet testament to a women's search for dignity while undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
