A special ticketed Preview Night launching the exhibition Monet to Matisse: Defying Tradition features a live performance by Australian musician Alexander Flood. Flood is recognised for high-voltage live shows incorporating rhythmic drums and bass with keyboard harmonies and jazz flute melodies. He has collaborated with six-time Grammy nominee Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah and soul vocalist Vivian Sessoms, and performed at the London Jazz Festival, Melbourne International Jazz Festival and WOMADelaide. Fresh from a European tour, Flood and his band will present a refined blend of jazz, deep house and funk.
