You know this story like the back of your hand: a first date, a racing mind, and a Runaway Heart. Before it can make off with all of his memories, Scott Wings sets out to catch it, embarking on a journey of poetry, play, and self-interrogation.

A playful and sharp interrogation of what it means to be a Better Man, Whiplash bottles neurotic poetry and heartwarming stories into an energetic, visceral, and utterly captivating performance. Scott journeys deep inside his body, meeting his past selves, his fears, and his hopes for the future.

A captivating mix of rhythmic storytelling and sweat-soaked movement, Scott faces the challenges of being a better man in the #MeToo era. Whiplash opens up on male emotions, breaks through deep-seated inertia, fights off hormonal impulses, and digs us out of our mental pitfalls.

"Men have a lot of problems getting stuff off their chest, talking about what's going on inside them. I know I do," says Scott Wings. "Whiplash is an ode to the battles going on inside all of us. It's a mix of visceral and evocative poetry and movement, and I hope it can inspire men of all ages to open up and share a little more."
