Regent's Park Open Air Theatre Offers Special Ticket Prices, July 13
In celebration of its 80th anniversary, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre offers 200 tickets at 25 pence on Friday 13 July 2012. Established in 1932, tickets for £19.32 will also be available for performances up until 21 July.
Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's 2012 season now in full swing with Ragtime the Musical and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Regent's Park Open Air Theatre will celebrate its 80th anniversary performance on Friday 13 July of Ragtime the Musical with 200 tickets for sale at 25 pence each, the original price of a ticket, five shillings, when the theatre first opened in 1932. Tickets will go on sale from 11am on Thursday 12 July and will only be available to purchase via www.openairtheatre.com/1932.
Top price tickets will also be available for £19.32 for performances until 21 July of Ragtime the Musical and A Midsummer Night's Dream, also available via www.openairtheatre.com/1932.
Over the 80 years, the Open Air Theatre has witnessed fledgling performances from many future stars, including Vivien Leigh, Jessica Tandy, Deborah Kerr, Richard E Grant, Hugh Bonneville, Jim Broadbent, Ralph Fiennes, Eileen Atkins, Sheridan Smith.
With over 130,000 visitors each season, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre is now an essential part of summer in the city and, in 2012, with the eyes of the world on London, a destination for visitors from around the world. Celebrating this remarkable year, the theatre is presenting a repertory season of two major productions: Ragtime the Musical and A Midsummer Night's Dream, running until 8 September.
