Gatsby opened to the public on Monday 26th October for the first of its exclusive showcase performances at the Arts Theatre. It runs on four consecutive Monday nights until the 16th November. Photographer Roy Tan was there, recording the event from the moment the band were warming up as the audience filled the auditorium right through to the curtain call. BroadwayWorld brings you a first look below!

With added music and new orchestrations, featuring the renowned Benoit Veillefon Orchestra, the on-stage talent includes West End names (from Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Wicked) and a cast that includes Ellie Nunn (Shakespeare In Love), Simon Bailey - from Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables; Maria Coyne who has just finished playing 'Glinda' in Wicked, Kim Medcalf who is best known for her long-running role as EastEnder Sam Mitchell and who is returning to the London stage following her performance in Cabaret at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue; Matilda Sturridge who returns to the production following its sell out run in 2013, Christopher Staines (TV's Wolf Hall), Scheherazade Brathwaite, Nick Pack, James Lloyd Pegg and Sebastian Blunt, who featured in the Tom Cruise Sci-fi film 'Edge of Tomorrow'. And not forgetting the title role of Jay Gatsby, played by David Ricardo Pearce; another title role having portrayed the eponymous lead in the stage adaptation of Alfie.

Gatsby was first presented in 2012 and 2013 at the Kings Head and the Riverside when it received an Offwestend best New Musical nomination.
