MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Announce Release Of London Cast Album

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the smash hit musical that is "taking the West End by storm" (Daily Mail), tonight (Thursday 29 September) marks the release of its official cast album, recorded live at the Noël Coward Theatre, on the very day original ‘million dollar quartet' member Jerry Lee Lewis was born 76 years ago.

Inspired by the actual event that took place at Sun Records in Memphis in 1956, the electrifying show celebrates four of the greatest legends of popular music - Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis - and tells the sensational true story of the night they came together to make music, and ended up making history.

Performed live at each performance by the incredible cast of actors and musicians, audiences and music fans can now purchase the album and re-live brilliant songs from a golden era of music, including: Blue Suede Shoes, Folsom Prison Blues, Fever, Down By The Riverside, Sixteen Tons, I Walk The Line, Let's Have a Party, I Hear You Knocking, Great Balls Of Fire, Hound Dog and Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On.
MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET has been playing in New York since March 2010 and at Chicago's Apollo Theatre since October 2008. The first North American tour will launch in October 2011. In the West End the show has become London's "feel-good crowd pleaser" (The Times) with audiences singing and dancing in the aisles at every performance.
