This December at London's Southbank Simpson's and Spinal Tap star Harry Shearer and acclaimed chanteuse Judith Owen are joined by an host of guests for a mix of traditional and non-traditional seasonal music that is both relavent and irrelavent and reverent and irreverent. Judith Owen and Harry Shearer's Holiday Sing-Along arrives at The Purcell Rooms on December 3rd where guests will include the comic phenomenon that is Ruby Wax, one of the UK's leading vocalists Jacqui Dankworth, the acclaimed singer Lucinda Belle, the acoustic bass legend Danny Thompson, eclectic singer, songwriter and keyboardist Charlie Wood, award winning cellist Gabrielle Swallow and one of the most admired and widely-performed composers of his generation Mark-Anthony Turnage. Together they promise to gently roast some seasonal chestnuts, pull a few crackers and unwrap a rare gift or two

Judith Owen and Harry Shearer's Holiday Sing-Along began life as a private affair-an annual gathering with family and friends in the couple's Los Angeles home. Soon there was no room left at the inn and Owen and Shearer moved their Sing-A-Long to the Walt Disney Concert Hall where they were joined by a host of stella talent. Since then, the show has gone on to become a perennial touring phenomenon, making highly successful premieres in other major U.S. cities including New York City, San Francisco, and others. Special guests have included The Bobs, Jill Sobule, Marshall Crenshaw, Paul Shaffer and They Might Be Giants.

The Owen/Shearer Holiday Sing-A-Long is an evening of music and mirth for Christmas lovers and Scrooges of all ages. Acting as the perfect hosts Owen and Shearer both sing and play (piano and bass, respectively) and welcome an array of superbly talented guests to join in the festive fun

The mission of the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation is to keep music alive by sustaining New Orleans musicians and tradition bearers in body, mind and spirit. We do this through providing access to health and social services through the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic, regardless of musicians' ability to pay, and by fostering cultural opportunities that advocate for and support this effort.
