Following on from last year’s sell-out “Summer With…the Composers” cabaret at the Battersea Barge, SimG Productions will present “Easter With…..the Composers” at London’s prestigious floating fringe cabaret venue on Sunday March 25th, 2012. This time the show, produced and directed by Simon Greiff, will showcase the talents of the “next generation” of British musical theatre writers - Chris Passey, Joe Sterling, Lindsey Miller and the song writing team of Pippa Cleary and Jake Brunger.

Birmingham-based actor/singer/songwriter Chris Passey found fame in the role of Benjamin in the UK tour of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Self Taught, Still Learning - Passey’s debut album featuring songs from his concept musical Bridges, with vocal performances by an elite group of West End performers - has become a best seller at Dress Circle and on iTunes, And his songs have been sung in a number of acclaimed concerts in London since the release of his album.

Joe Sterling is another actor/singer/songwriter who was in the cast of the recent Birmingham Stage Company’s highly praised UK tour production of The Jungle Book. He is currently developing the musical Roundabout - songs from which were performed at the Giggin4Good Winter Showcase at the Actors’ Church, Covent Garden on February 5th, 2012. Joe has just completed recording his debut album - Somewhere In My Mind: The Songs Of Joe Sterling - with a stellar West End cast and the album is set for release in March 2012.

Composer/pianist/musical director Lindsey Miller is currently pursuing a Master’s course at the Royal S cottish Academy Of Music & Drama. She composed the score for a new adaptation of Hansel And Gretel, which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2011. Also she enjoyed success participating in The 4th Tim Williams Awards for Original Theatrical Composition, where her composition "Hee Haw" performed by Peter Polycarpou, won her the Josephine Hart Prize for Poetry Into Song Award.

Brunger and Cleary’s very first musicals together - Jet Set Go! and The Great British Soap Opera - both played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (where they achieved both critical and popular acclaim) and later enjoyed successful runs at the Jermyn Street Theatre, London. They are also the writers of the musicals Malory Towers and The Lost And Found Office and their songs have been performed in numerous cabarets, notably the hilarious “A Simple Valley Song” which was performed by Helen Hayes Award winner Caroline Sheen during her Battersea Barge cabaret in 2011.

The featured composers will perform their own (and some of each other’s) songs in the Easter cabaret and will be joined by some “special guests” (to be announced).
