Following a four-year absence from the festive theatrical calendar, the West End's popular seasonal concert offering Christmas in New York will return by popular demand for one night only at the Palace Theatre in London on Monday 9th December 2013, prior to which it will play its first ever regional date at the Palace Theatre in Manchester tonight, 7th December 2013.

Broadway leading lady Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn) will headline Christmas in New York in both London and Manchester alongside an accomplished cast of West End stars featuring Tori Allen-Martin (RENT, Hair), Lucy May Barker (Spring Awakening, Sweeney Todd), Andy Coxon (LES MISERABLES, Rocky Horror Show), Scott Garnham (LES MISERABLES, I Can't Sing! The X Factor Musical), Luke Kempner (Avenue Q, South Pacific) and Zoe Rainey (Wicked, Hairspray).

London's "reigning queen of new musical writing" and original Christmas in New York cast member Julie Atherton (Avenue Q, The Last 5 Years) will appear as a special guest in London.

Eden Espinosa is best known for playing the role of Elphaba in the smash hit musical Wicked on Broadway, in LA and San Franciso to extensive acclaim. She is one of Broadway's powerhouse female vocalists of the modern musical era whose other credits include headlining the world première of the musical Brooklyn and playing Maureen in the closing Broadway company of RENT, which was captured on film and released worldwide on DVD.

From the producers of the West End's popular Notes from New York series and Idina Menzel's acclaimed West End residency and UK tour, Christmas in New York is a multi-layered chocolate box of musical moments. Evoking a magical time of year in a much loved city, this acclaimed celebration of seasonal show tunes and classic carols is a musical theatre Christmas concert for all ages.

Songs include festive favourites such as 'White Christmas', carols including 'O Holy Night', a dose of Andrew Lloyd Webber and even a Mariah Carey Christmas song (or two).

Christmas in New York is produced by Neil Eckersley for Speckulation Entertainment, with artistic supervision by Paul Spicer and musical direction by Joe Louis Robinson, based on a concept conceived by Neil Eckersley, Paul Spicer, David Randall and Julie Atherton as part of the Notes from New York series.
