Last night's episode of the ABC comedy Modern Family paid tribute to the long-running Broadway musical 'Phantom of the Opera.' In the episode, entitled "A Slight at the Opera", Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) is putting on the school production of "Phantom of the Opera," but when their star falls ill, Manny (Rico Rodriguez) pulls all the stops to land the lead - even if that means going against some tough competition.

Fittingly, Broadway's Nathan Lane also guest starred on the episode, reprising his role as 'Pepper Saltzman' who winds up in a golf-off with Jay and Phil. Check out the episode below!

"Modern Family" stars Ed O'Neill as Jay, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Sof'a Vergara as Gloria, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, SARAH HYLANd as Haley, Nolan Gould as Luke, Ariel Winter as Alex, Rico Rodriguez as Manny and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as Lily.

"A Slight at the Opera" was written by Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, and directed by Jim Bagdonas.
