Paper Mill Announces New Director of Development

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Esther Harper as Director of Development at the Millburn Theatre.

Esther Harper, a resident of Summit, New Jersey, recently served as the Chief Development Officer for Girls Incorporated, a national nonprofit youth organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. For Girls Incorporated Ms. Harper executed and managed a comprehensive fund development program including major gifts, foundation, institutional giving & government support, partnership marketing, special events, planned giving, corporate membership, direct mail, and annual giving.

Prior to joining Girls Inc., Harper spent eleven years at Thirteen/WNET, most recently as the Managing Director, Corporate & Educational Development and previously as the Director of Corporate & Educational Development. During her tenure at Thirteen/WNET, her department raised millions in general operating and program-specific support and developed strong relationships with major foundations such as Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Toyota USA Foundation, and Citigroup Foundation. Harper has also held key posts and raised substantial unrestricted funds for The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Human Rights Watch. She received her BA and MA in Media Arts from the New School of Social Research.
