Tovah Feldshuh in a 'Nutshell' at Feinstein's March 4-15

Feinstein's at Loews Regency continues its Spring 2008 season with the debut engagement of acclaimed actress and entertainer Tovah Feldshuh. Her show "Tovah in a Nutshell!" runs from March 4 - 15. In this zany musical evening, Ms. Feldshuh sings songs from Gershwin to Judy Collins and inhabits a gallery of hilarious characters, ages 8 to 80, ranging from Grandma Ada in the Bronx to socialite Muffy Brooke Asthma Alsop on Park Avenue. She will be joined by her Musical Director Mathew Eisenstein on piano. All performances will be at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

For her work on the New York stage, from Yentl to Sarava! to Lend Me A Tenor to Golda's Balcony, Tovah Feldshuh  has earned four Tony nominations for Best Actress and won four Drama Desk Awards, four Outer Critics Circle Awards, the Obie, the Theatre World Award and the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Actress.  On October 3, 2004, Golda's Balcony became the longest-running one-woman show in the history of Broadway.  Soon after the Broadway run, Feldshuh brought her Golda to Los Angeles' Wadsworth Theatre and San Francisco's Geary Theater for eight sold-out weeks. In June 2008, Ms. Feldshuh will debut Golda's Balcony in London at the Shaw Theatre.

Other shows on Broadway include Cyrano with Christopher Plummer.  Feldshuh portrayed the title roles in the Roundabout Theatre's She Stoops to Conquer and Mistress of the Inn, BAM's Three Sisters with RoseMary Harris and Ellen Burstyn, and played in the long-running hit The Vagina Monologues. Off-Broadway, she starred as the legendary Tallulah Bankhead in her own Tallulah Hallelujah!

Feinstein's at Loews Regency will play the following schedule: Tuesday through Thursday at 8:30PM. The new weekend schedule will present shows on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8PM & 10PM. The 8PM & 8:30PM shows have a $60 cover with new $75 premium seats, both with a $40 food and beverage minimum. The 10PM shows have a $40 cover with new $60 premium seats, both with a $25 food and beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required.
