The London cast also included Jenny Agutter and Will Kemp.

Equus, based on a true story told to playwright Shaffer, concerns a troubled English stable boy, Alan Strang (Radcliffe), who blinded six horses with a spike. Psychiatrist Martin Dysart (Griffiths) attempts to discover the source of Strang's emotions and motivations, and unleashes a disturbing secret.

The West End revival was directed by Thea Sharrock and designed by the play's original designer John Napier. Equus won the 1975 Tony Award for Best Play and was later made into a film starring Richard Burton in 1977.
