South Pacific is the breathtaking new production based on the Lincoln Center Theater performances that won seven 2008 Tony Awards and played to sold-out houses for over two years. Set on a tropical island during World War II, South Pacific tells the sweeping romantic story of two couples and how their happiness is threatened by the realities of war and their own prejudices. Based on the book by James Michener and directed by Tony-winner Bartlett Sher, the show’s beloved score includes Some Enchanted Evening, I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair, This Nearly Was Mine, and There is Nothin’ Like a Dame.
