All-Star LineUp Launches Black History Month at Christ Church Cathedral
Songs of Freedom, an annual concert celebrating Black History Month will be hosted at Christ Church Cathedral this year on Saturday, February 3rd at 7:30pm. Inaugurated 12 years ago by Marcus Mosely and his colleagues, it is a rich recognition and expression, in music and words, of black culture in our city. Featured artists will include blues legend and Juno Award winner Jim Byrnes, the “seriously spiritual gospel trio” the Sojourners, award-winning spoken word artist Jillian Christmas, and the dynamic Marcus Mosely Ensemble.
Cellar Music Group announced the release of the music video for 'Let Freedom Ring (The Ballad of John Lewis)', the powerful forthcoming single from vocalist Dee Daniels. Filmed at the Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver, British Columbia, this evocative tune was inspired by the life of US Civil Rights Leader and House Representative John Lewis.
Christ Church Cathedral is at 690 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC.
