SECOND ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF HOPE STARTS DECEMBER 21ST

last year over 70 artists (including TJ Dawe, Beverley Elliott and Jay Brazeau) gathered for the first CABARET OF HOPE at The Havana Theatre to help Boden Lalonde, a young man in palliative care with Muscular Dystrophy, have a special Christmas. Through the generosity of these amazing artists we raised over $3000 to build Boden a super computer, which helps make his life better, since he is confined to his bed 24 hours a day and is cared for by his loving parents Rodger and Cindy. At the time doctors gave Boden three to six months to live.

Over 8 nights, we sand, danced, did stand up and improv comedy and brought joy and hope to many over the Holidays. Thanks to peoples

Thanks to the generosity of Patrick O'dougherty and the Havana we are back. And Boden is still alive to be shown Love once again.

The Festival runs six days, December 21st to the 23rd, then from the 28th to the 30th. each night is unique and special.

We begin with our first CABARET OF HOPE on the 21st with special guest 2016 Miss Canada (Petite) Alicia Ohana. The 22nd brings us A NIGHT WITH TRUMP where Jacques Lalonde (TRUMP THE MUSICAL, DRAINING THE SWAMP) does his award winning Trump impersonation and reads his version of A TRUMPMAS CAROL. The 23rd brings us COMEDY CARES V featuring very special guests Richard Glen Lett and multiple award winning improv legends THE FICTIONALS.

After Christmas we have the second CABARET OF HOPE featuring First Nations comic Chuck Cease and Canada's only blind photographer/stand up comic Cathy Browne. The 29th and 30th bring us BANDS FOR BODEN where each night two bands will rock out at the Havana. Confirmed bands include Monkeybarband and 11 year old guitar/singing Hunter J and the Jets.

All tickets are by donation and every last dollar goes to Boden and his family. If someone can't afford to pay to see a show we would LOVE them to come for free and be part of our community of Hope. Part of our vision is that this Festival will continue for many years as a legacy to Boden and his amazing Spirit.
