Willemijn Verkaik to Perform Live in Concert at Cambridge Theatre this July

This July musical theatre luminary Willemijn Verkaik will perform a one-off concert at the Cambridge Theatre in the heart of London's West End, joined by a host of special guest stars and an 8-piece live band.

In a follow up to her critically acclaimed 2015 sold out solo concert in The Ambassadors Theatre, Willemijn makes a triumphant return to the stage, performing as herself in a celebration of the most iconic songs that have defined her career to date, as well as showcasing some never before performed material alongside her friends and fellow leading lights of musical theatre.

Originally from The Netherlands, Willemijn Verkaik rose to fame as the voice of Elsa German and Dutch version of Disney's Blockbuster 'Frozen'. She is currently playing Elphaba as part of the 10 year anniversary cast of Wicked in the West End. She has played the role in 4 countries and after making her Broadway debut in 2013, is the only actress to have performed the role in three languages. Before returning to the West End, Willemijn played a successful run as Kala in Disney's Musical Tarzan in Germany. Other credits include Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Paulina), Mamma Mia (Donna), Elisabeth (Elisabeth), We Will Rock You (Killer Queen) and Aida (Amneris).

Joining Willemijn will be Savannah Stevenson and Suzie Mathers.

Savannah Stevenson played the role of Elphaba in Wicked between 2015 - 2016, after making her debut in the West End production of Mary Poppins. Other credits include Aspects of Love, Chariots of Fire and The Secret Garden. Suzie Mathers played Glinda the Good Witch in the Australian and Asian and London productions of Wicked and is currently reprising her role as Glinda in the London production at the Apollo Victoria alongside Willemijn. Other credits the 10th anniversary Australian tour of Mamma Mia!

As previously announced Celinde Schoenmaker, who is currently playing Christine in The Phantom of the Opera (West End) will also be a special guest.
