It's just a dinner party. A normal civilised dinner party. Except it's not - definitely not. Jess Bray's hilarious Ayckbourn-esque play about two couples with two very different ideas about a certain dinner party comes to Theatre N16 as part of our brand new First Credit Scheme.

?First Credit, produced by Theatre N16 and The Matthew Martino Benevolent Fund, gives the opportunity to four actors and two directors to gain their first professional credit in the industry. Six graduates were chosen in an open application process, and this production will be the first showing of a new play by a new writer as well. All graduates receive on-the-job training and advice from industry mentors through workshops and constant support as well as a fee and sustenance for their involvement.

For this first outing of the scheme, the actors will be Paul Boichat, Rebecca Drake, Maanuv Thiara and Maisie Black. They will be directed by Amy Hendry and Ellie Gauge.

Theatre N16 is a trailblazing company founded by young people, for young people. It is dedicated to creating a creative hub where new and existing works can be explored and pushed into new realms. Theatre N16 is proud of their commitment to the welfare of creatives, operating without a hire fee for external companies. This promoting and nurturing of talent means that Theatre N16 is a bastion for development within the context of a society in which the arts are increasingly struggling to stay afloat.
