Cast Announced for SOHO CINDERS at Union Theatre This Autumn

The Union Theatre presents SOHO CINDERS, with music by George Stiles, lyrics by Anthony Drewe and book by Anthony Drewe and Elliot Davis.

Directed by Will Keith, the production will run 23rd November - 22nd December 2016 (Tuesday to Saturday @ 7.30pm; Saturday & Sunday @ 2.30pm), with opening night slated for 25th November 2016. All tickets £20. Previews £15.

SOHO CINDERS will be choreographed by Joanne McShane, with musical supervision by Joe Louis Robinson, musical direction by Sarah Morrison, and lighting design by Iain Dennis.

When impoverished launderette owner Robbie becomes romantically involved with engaged Mayoral candidate James Prince, his step-sisters become the least of his problems! James and Robbie's worlds collide forcing them to fight for their own fairy-tale ending in this hilarious, satirical twist on the classic Cinderella story. The potent mix of politics, sex scandals and true love come together in this contemporary musical with an infections score that you'll be humming long past the stroke of midnight!

Will trained at the Arts Educational Schools London and was awarded the Musical Theatre Bursary from the BBC Performing Arts Fund.

Earlier this year Will made his debut as a Director on BAD GIRLS:THE MUSICAL (Union Theatre), this summer Directed/Choreographed TITLE OF SHOW (Waterloo East Theatre) and a few years ago was Assistant Director to Sasha Regan on the original staging of the ALL MALE: HMS PINAFORE (Union Theatre).

Musical Supervisor - Joe Louis Robinson

As musical director, credits include Christmas In New York (Palace Theatre & UK tour), Been On Broadway and Nina Simone: Soul Sessions (London and UK tour), and Fings Aint Wot They Used T'Be at Stratford East as Associate MD. Joe is currently MD on Promises, Promises at the Southwark Playhouse. As pianist, Joe has played alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and has collaborated with the country's leading musical theatre stars.

Internationally, Joe's has collaborated with impressionist Christina Bia nco as her music director and arranger in the UK, Europe and New York on Diva Moments, Party of One and An Evening with Christina Bianco at the Royal Albert Hall's Elgar Room. In 2015 he devised and composed a new show, Step One, for Drama UK & UKCI at the Beijing Oriental Theatre.

Recorded credits include music supervision of Julie Atherton's third studio album Rush Of Life, the original cast recording of Been On Broadway, alongside television appearances on Sky Arts, The Paul O'Grady Show and Our Gay Wedding: The Musical for Channel 4.
