From today, July 3rd to August 2nd, the epic tale of Harry the King, The Famous Victories of Henry V will unfold both in and out of the city.

Arts Midwest in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has announced that PlayMakers Repertory Company is one of forty nonprofit, professional theater companies nationwide to be awarded a grant as part of the Shakespeare in American Communities program The program introduces middle and high school students to the power of live theater and the masterpieces of William Shakespeare.

For the seventh consecutive year, the National Endowment for the Arts, in partnership with Arts Midwest, has selected Actors' Shakespeare Project (ASP) to participate in Shakespeare in American Communities. ASP will receive a $25,000 grant to support performance-related educational activities around the company's first production, The Comedy of Errors (Directed by David R. Gammon; September 24 - October 19, 2014).

Midsommer Flight announces its third summer season of Shakespeare in the Park with the delightful comedy Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare and directed by Midsommer Flight's Founder and Producing Artistic Director Beth Wolf. The London-based Shakespeare's Globe will bring their global touring production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet to Folger Theatre for three performances only on July 25 and 26, 2014, making it the only east coast stop for the company in the United States. Directed by Dominic Dromgoole and Bill Buckhurst, the production is a fresh, pared-down version of the classic tragedy of deferred revenge.

Florida Studio Theatre announces the U.S. premiere of Taking Shakespeare, by John Murrell, the final show in the Summer Mainstage Season. The show will run in the Gompertz Theatre July 23 through August 17, 2014.

The Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival, held in beautiful outdoor Kingsmen Park at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA begins its 18th season with Shakespeare's Twelfth Night beginning today, June 27-29 and running July 3, 5-6 and 11-13. This comedy will be set in the Vaudeville era and directed by Kevin P. Kern.

Today OZ, Nashville's first contemporary arts center, announces its 2014-15 season, which runs September 12, 2014 - June 27, 2015.
